  • As part of its Financial Infrastructure Transformation (FIT) programme introduced in 2023, the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates’ launch of Al Etihad Payments aims to implement an innovative, interoperable, and enabling payments infrastructure allowing licensed financial institutions and payment service providers to further enhance customer experience through advanced payment solutions.
  • NIPL was commissioned for this initiative following a comprehensive selection process that gauged the capacity of its solution in meeting the needs of consumers and merchants, in addition to its ability to build an integrated financial infrastructure.

  • Moreover, Star Health Insurance now offers oocyte donor coverage, covering inpatient hospitalisation costs for complications stemming from assisted reproductive treatment for a 12-month period.
  • The policy boasts several unique features such as no pre-acceptance medical screening, midterm additions, the option to acquire the policy during pregnancy, coverage for pregnancy care treatment, In-Utero foetal surgery, hospitalisation costs for newborns, vaccinations, paediatrician/medical consultations, preventive health check-ups, and more.
  • Through this policy, mothers can also extend health coverage to their newborn child or children.

  • The Council will be preceded by the 25th meeting of the Committee of IORA Senior Officials on October 9 and 10.
  • Established in 1997 as an intergovernmental organisation of states on the rim of the Indian Ocean, the IORA has members from Africa, West Asia, South Asia, South-East Asia and the Oceania.

  • In the first phase, technical support will be provided by the Incubator Center of IIT Roorkee for high-level upskilling of the labour force working in the construction sector
  • An MoU was also signed between the Skill Development and Employment Department and Microsoft with the aim that students studying in higher technical institutions of the state will be given training related to digital skills by Microsoft.
  • Microsoft will also provide technical support in digital training to the deprived groups of society.
  • MoUs were signed with Envertz Consultancy as well to employ nursing trainees from the state as nurses in England and Ireland and with Generise Global to employ them as nurses in Germany.
