  • The corporation, in a statement, said this plan, which is available for individuals from 18 years to 65 years, offers life cover with return of premium.
  • It has a minimum sum assured of ₹15 lakh for moderate life cover.
  • The policy term varies from 10 years to 40 years.
  • Premium payment can be made by way of single premium or by way of regular premium which is payable for the policy term. The minimum instalment premium will be ₹3,000 for regular premium policies and ₹30,000 for single premium policies.
  • Two types of optional riders—accidental death and disability benefit rider and accident benefit rider—are available by paying additional premium.
  • On life assured surviving date of maturity, provided policy is in force, this term assurance plan allows refund of total premiums paid/single premium paid excluding any extra premium, any rider premium and taxes paid
  • In case of death during the policy term, provided the policy is in force, ‘Sum Assured on Death’ shall be payable, which will be—a) for regular Premium Payment Policies: highest of 7 times of annualized premium or 105 per cent of “Total Premium Paid” up to the date of death or Basic Sum Assured; and for single premium Policies—higher of 125 per cent of single premium or basic Sum Assured
  • Settlement option is available to receive the maturity/death benefit over a period of 5 years.

  • The additional financing will improve water supply systems in at least seven towns by converting all groundwater sources to surface water, replacing about 700 km of leaking water pipes, installing 1,400 km of new water supply pipelines, and providing 77,000 households connections with water meters.
  • It will also establish three new water treatment plants.

  • The Ministry of Defence had signed a ₹2,725-crore contract with Mumbai-based MDL for the Medium Refit with Life Certification (MRLC) of INS Shankush, a HDW-class submarine, to extend its life.
  • The first submarine in this class is undergoing MRLC and is likely to be back on sail by August.
  • As per the MoD, INS Shankush, a Sub-Surface Killer (SSK) class submarine, will be delivered to Navy after MRLC in 2026.
  • The submarines are of 1980s era, delivered to the Indian Navy as part of a German-Indian cooperation.
  • The business relationship between the two companies dates back to 1980s when the German company joined hands with the Indian Navy and MDL for the construction of four diesel-electric submarines.
  • The first two boats were built in Germany, whereas the remaining were constructed at the MDL at Mumbai.
  • In June, Thyssenkrupp and Mazagon had concluded a MoU for the local construction of submarines for the Indian Navy.

  • Upgradation of Dwarka RWSS will help provide adequate and potable water to villages by pipeline. Other projects being taken up include the conservation, restoration and development of Uparkot Fort Phase I & II; construction of a water treatment plant; sewage treatment plant; flyover bridge, among others.
