The ICCR has unveiled ‘Little Guru’ app, world’s first Gamified Sanskrit learning App which was jointly launched in Beijing by Ambassador Vikram Misri and renowned Chinese scholar on Sanskrit and India studies, Professor Wang Bangwei.
Many Sanskrit Professors from Peking University and the students were also present.
In keeping pace with changing technology in both access as well as teaching methods, ICCR has tied up with Gamapp Sportswizz Tech. Pvt. Ltd. to launch ‘LITTLE GURU’, a specialized app for learning Sanskrit.
Little Guru will be a gamified app based on an interactive platform which will make Sanskrit learning easy, entertaining, and fun.
This app will help people who are already learning Sanskrit or those who are desirous to learn Sanskrit to do so in an easy manner based on games, competition, rewards, peer to peer interactions, etc.

World Homeopathy Day:

World Homeopathy Day is celebrated on April 10.
The day is observed to mark the importance of homoeopathy and its contribution to the world of medicine.
The date is the birth anniversary of Dr Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, who was a German physician and the founder of homoeopathy.
Hahnemann was born in 1755 in Paris.
The main idea behind celebrating the day is to make more and more people aware about the benefits of homeopathic treatment and medicines.
Apart from that, the day is also meant for discussing challenges and planning future strategies for the betterment and development of homeopathy.
Theme: This year the theme of the day in India is, “Homeopathy- Roadmap for Integrative Medicine”.
Last year, the theme of World Homoeopathy Day was ‘Enhancing the scope of Homoeopathy in Public Health.’
Initially, the celebration of World Homoeopathy Day 2020 was scheduled to be held at Kolkata on April 10 and April 11, but due to the COVID-19 situation the same had got postponed.

Maharashtra Congress MLA Raosaheb Antapurkar died while undergoing treatment for post-COVID complications.

In November last year, Bharat Bhalke, an NCP MLA from Pandharpur-Mangalvedha constituency in Solapur district, died due to post-COVID complications.

The loan scheme also includes an overdraft facility of up to a maximum of ₹25 lakh.
the scheme offers a 9-year timeframe to repay the term loan.

The Reserve Bank of India withdrew its directions issued to Kolkata-based Kolikata Mahila Co-operative Bank.
The RBI had issued directions to the bank from the close of business on July 9, 2019
Reserve Bank, on being satisfied that in the public interest it is necessary to do so, in exercise of the powers vested in it under the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (AACS), hereby withdraws with effect from April 10, 2021, the said directions so issued to Kolikata Mahila Co-operative Bank Limited, Kolkata, West Bengal.
Under the directions, which were issued in 2019, the bank, without prior approval of RBI, could not grant or renew any loans and advances, make any investment, incur any liability including borrowal of funds and acceptance of fresh deposits, among others.
The directions also capped deposit withdrawal at ₹1,000 of the total balance held by depositors in every savings bank or current account or any other deposit account. With the withdrawal of the directions, the cap on deposit withdrawal also goes.
Earlier this week, RBI withdrew the All-Inclusive Directions it issued to Kolhapur-based Youth Development Cooperative Bank Ltd.

The government has extended the tenure of Arun Kumar, chief of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) by six months.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the extension for a period of six months beyond 20 April, or until further notice, whichever is earlier, as per a circular.
Kumar, a 1989 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Haryana cadre, was appointed as DGCA chief in July 2019.
He had held additional charge of the post between May and July 2019 with the retirement of BS Bhullar.
Prior to his DGCA post, Kumar was an additional secretary at the ministry of civil aviation (MoCA).

The government has notified Copyright (Amendment) Rules, 2021, that will ensure compliance in view of the technological advancement in digital era and transparency.
The copyright regime in India is governed by the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Copyright Rules, 2013.
“The amendments have been introduced with the objective of bringing the existing rules in parity with other relevant legislations.
It aims to ensure smooth and flawless compliance in the light of the technological advancement in digital era by adopting electronic means as primary mode of communication and working in the Copyright Office,” said the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
A new provision regarding publication of a copyrights journal has been incorporated would be available at the website of the Copyright
The amendments have harmonised the Copyright Rules with the provisions of Finance Act, 2017 whereby the Copyright Board has been merged with Appellate Board.
The compliance requirements for registration of software works have been largely reduced, as now the applicant has the liberty to file the first 10 and last 10 pages of source code, or the entire source code if less than 20 pages, with no blocked out or redacted portions.
The time limit for the Central Government to respond to an application made before it for registration as a copyright society is extended to 180 days, so that the application can be more comprehensively examined.
