- In addition, the card also offers 1 per cent cashback on offline purchases, smart EMI, and lounge access for free, among others.

Consumers can request, pause or revoke any ongoing data consent directly from aa.phonepe.com or from within the PhonePe app itself. - As a part of the launch, PTSPL has already integrated with multiple Financial Information Providers (FIP) such as YES Bank, Federal Bank, AU Small Finance Bank .
- Several other FIPs, including large banks, are likely to get integrated before the end of June.
- PTSPL has also launched its product suite and APIs for the FIU market and is in the process of integrating with regulated Financial Institutions (FIUs) so that they can start taking consent from their users to do a real-time data fetch from the user’s’ FIPs.
- To give consumers a quick and easy introduction to the new Account Aggregator service, PTSPL has tied up with PhonePe Private Limited, and built an AA micro-app within the PhonePe consumer app. This will allow PhonePe users to register and create a new interoperable AA handle.
- PhonePe users will also be able to access their bank statements instantly on the ‘Check Balance’ option on the PhonePe App’s homepage for free.

- Israel has begun conducting initial tests of autonomous drones capable of carrying passengers and cargo, in a bid to ease traffic congestion
- The government-led pilot project, also known as the Israel National Drone Initiative (INDI), aims to create a national drone network and prepare the sky for drone deliveries.
- The project, a joint collaboration between the Transportation Ministry, the Israel Innovation Authority, Ayalon Highways Limited, and the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel (CAAI), marks the first use of such technology in the Jewish state.
- 11 drone operating and delivery companies were involved in tests and experimental flights throughout Israel.
- This is the second phase of the experiment, which began in January and involved an investment of around $60 million to develop drone infrastructure over the next two years.
- Among the drones tested was AIR ZERO, manufactured in Israel, which can accommodate up to two passengers and a total payload of up to 220 kilograms for a distance of up to 160 kilometers.
- Dronery, Cando Drones, and Down Wind also conducted test flights with autonomous drones.
- According to the National Drone Project, over 19,000 sorties have been flown in the past three years.

- The technology will enable the production of images with extremely high resolution via a small satellite constellation that, once fully operational, will provide global coverage in under 12 hours.

Union Cabinet approves allotment of 4G/5G Spectrum to BSNL
- The Cabinet has approved the third revival package for Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) with a total outlay of ₹89,047 crore that includes allotment of 4G/ 5G spectrum for BSNL through equity infusion.
- The authorised capital of BSNL will be increased from ₹1,50,000 crore to ₹2,10,000 crore

- With this spectrum allotment, BSNL will be able to provide pan India 4G and 5G services, provide 4G coverage in rural and uncovered villages under various connectivity projects, provide fixed wireless access (FWA) services for high-speed Internet, and provide services/spectrum for captive non-public network (CNPN).
- The Government had approved the first revival package for BSNL/MTNL in 2019, which amounted to ₹69,000 crore and brought stability in BSNL/MTNL.
- In 2022, the government approved the second revival package for BSNL/MTNL amounting to ₹1.64 lakh crore and it provided financial support for capex, viability gap funding for rural landlines, financial support for de-stressing the balance sheet, and settlement of AGR dues, and merger of BBNL with BSNL.
Union Cabinet approves continuation of Central Sector Scheme of ‘Exploration of Coal and Lignite Scheme’
- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the continuation of the Central Sector Scheme of “Exploration of Coal and Lignite scheme” with an estimated expenditure of Rs. 2980 crore from 2021-22 to 2025-26 co-terminus with the 15th Finance Commission cycle.
- Under this scheme, exploration for Coal and Lignite is conducted in two broad stages: (i) Promotional (Regional) Exploration and (ii) Detailed Exploration in Non-Coal India Limited blocks.
- The approval will provide an outlay of Rs.1650 crore for Promotional (Regional) Exploration and Rs.1330 crore for Detailed Drilling in Non-CIL areas.
- Approximately, 1300 sq. km area will be covered under Regional exploration and approximately 650 sq. km area will be covered under Detailed exploration.
- Exploration for Coal and Lignite is required to prove and estimate coal resources available in the country which helps in preparing detailed project report to start coal mining
Union Cabinet approves Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for Kharif Crops for Marketing Season 2023-24
- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the increase in the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for all mandated Kharif Crops for Marketing Season 2023-24.
- The highest increase has been made in the price of Moong Dal for which MSP has been raised to Rs 8,558 per quintal from Rs 7,755 per quintal.
- Minimum Support Price is the rate at which the government procures grains from farmers.
- At present, the government fixes MSP for 23 crops grown in both Kharif and Rabi seasons. Sowing of rabi (winter) crops begins in October immediately after harvesting of Kharif (summer) crops. Wheat and mustard are the major rabi crops.

- State-owned power producer National Hydro Electric Power Corporation Private Limited (NHPC) has signed an agreement with the Maharashtra government to build pumped storage hydro projects totalling 7,350 MW capacity with an investment of Rs 44,000 crore.
- The MoU (memorandum of understanding) envisages development of four pumped storage projects aggregating to a total capacity of 7,350 MW, namely Kalu – 1,150 MW, Savitri – 2,250 MW, Jalond – 2,400 MW and Kengadi -1,550 MW.
- The MoU entails harnessing the pumped storage projects as energy storage solutions to help achieve the national objective of energy transition, i.e., to have 500 GW of installed capacity of renewable energy by 2030 and become net zero by 2070.
- These projects will attract an investment of about Rs 44,000 crore and generate indirect and direct employment for 7,000 people in the state
- The MoU was signed by Director (Projects), NHPC, BiswajitBasu, and Principal Secretary (Energy), Department of Energy, Maharashtra, Abha Shukla.
- Pumped storage system utilises surplus grid power available from thermal power stations or other sources to pump up water from lower to upper reservoir and reproduces power during peak demand when there is scarcity of power.

- Planned for an initial period of five years from 2023-24 to 2027-28.
- The Mission will have a two-tier structure – a Technical Scoping Committee and an Apex Committee.

- The Government of Bihar, represented by Resident Commissioner Kundan Kumar, has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for the development of Civil Enclaves at Darbhanga Airport and Purnea Airport in Bihar.
- a cabinet meeting chaired by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had approved the construction of new Civil Enclaves at both airports.
- Under the terms of the MOU, the Government of Bihar will provide the AAI with 76.65 acres of land for the development of the Civil Enclave at Darbhanga Airport, free of cost and free from encumbrances on ownership basis.
- This includes 52.65 acres of land for the Civil Enclave and an additional 24 acres for CAT lighting.
- Similarly, for the construction of the Civil Enclave at Purnea Airport, the Government of Bihar will transfer 52.18 acres of land to the AAI, also free of cost and free from encumbrances on ownership basis.
- The signing of these MOUs marks a significant milestone in the development of the new Civil Enclaves at Darbhanga and Purnea Airports.
- With the completion of these projects, both airports will have state-of-the-art terminal buildings, providing enhanced facilities for passengers.
- The construction of the new Civil Enclaves will not only bolster the infrastructure at Darbhanga and Purnea Airports but also pave the way for the commencement of air services at Purnea Airport, eliminating the existing hurdles.

- In a bid to make Uttar Pradesh a leading state in the field of milk development and milk production, the state government has launched the Nand Baba Milk Mission scheme at a cost of Rs 1,000 crore.
- The Nand Baba Milk Mission scheme, which has been implemented to provide milk producers the facility of selling their milk at a reasonable price in villages through dairy co-operative societies.
- Under this mission, it is proposed to form Dairy farmer producer organisation (Dairy FPO) in order to facilitate sale of milk in producers’ villages itself
- In the financial year 2023-24, there is a plan to set up five Dairy FPOs in as many districts of the state as a pilot project.
- Besides the opening of office of the Nand Baba Milk Mission at KisanGomtinagar, a ‘Dairy Development Portal’ and logo of Nand Baba Mission has also been unveiled.
- The Uttar Pradesh government has launched the portal (//familyid.up.gov.in) for creation of Family ID under ‘One Family One Identity’ scheme to establish a comprehensive database of family units of the state and to connect at least one member of each family with employment.
- This portal is developed to provide a 12 digit unique family ID to those families who are not ration card holders.
- Aadhaar based e-KYC facility is available on the Family ID portal.
