• This move will also reduce the turn-around time of the bank guarantee issuance and delivery to the beneficiary from an industry average of 3-4 working days to a few minutes
• Besides, the facility would replace the need for physical stamp paper and physical signatures of customers by replacing them with digital stamping and e-signing making the entire process digital.
• Indian Bank has launched a facility to avail pre-approved business loans, an end-to-end digital journey, for eligible individuals and proprietor firms to cater to their respective businesses.
• The newly launched digital vehicle loan product enables individual customers of the bank to get their dream vehicle with hassle-free loan processes.
• This facility would be available for loan value up to Rs 25 lakh.

• Through the enhanced YONO application, any bank customers will now have access to UPI features like Scan and Pay, Pay by contacts, and Request money, among others on YONO’s new avatar.
• Further, under the Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal facility, both the customers of SBI and other banks can withdraw cash seamlessly from ICCW-enabled ATMs of any bank by using the ‘UPI QR Cash’ functionality.
• SBI has emerged as one of the most trusted mobile banking app in the country with over 6 crore registered users in its digital face ‘YONO’ since its launch in 2017.

• The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi launched the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh and distributed sickle cell genetic status cards to the beneficiaries.
• The Prime Minister also kickstarted the distribution of about 3.57 crore Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan ArogyaYojana (AB-PMJAY) cards in Madhya Pradesh
• The Mission aims to address the pressing health challenges posed by sickle cell disease, particularly among the tribal population.
• The launch will mark a crucial milestone in the Government’s ongoing efforts to eliminate sickle cell disease as a public health problem by 2047.
• The National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission was announced in the Union Budget 2023.
• This will be implemented in 278 districts of 17 high-focus states in the country namely Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Bihar, and Uttarakhand.
• The Prime Minister also kickstarted the distribution of about 3.57 crore Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan ArogyaYojana (AB-PMJAY) cards in Madhya Pradesh.
• The ceremony for the distribution of Ayushman cards is being organized at Urban bodies, Gram panchayats and Development Blocks across the state.
• The Ayushman card distribution campaign is a step towards realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of reaching out to every beneficiary to ensure 100 percent saturation of welfare schemes.

• The senior officers of the Indian Coast Guard, Indian Navy including Additional Director General Rakesh Pal, PTM, TM, were also present.
• The Government of India is building the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) at the historic Indus Valley civilization region of Lothal (Gujarat) under the aegis of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
• The foundation stone for the NMHC project was laid by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in March 2019.

• The App was launched by Shri Shailesh Kumar Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India at New Delhi. Shri Singh also inaugurated eSARASFulfillment Centre at the Ministry’s Janakpuri office in New Delhi on this occasion.
• The eSARASfulfillment centre will be managed by the Foundation for Development of Rural Value Chains (FDRVC – a Not for Profit Company constituted jointly by Ministry of Rural Development and Tata Trust) and will be used for processing, packaging and shipping of products that customers purchase through the eSARAS Portal and eSARAS mobile App.
• It will handle the logistics required to bring an online order to a customer’s doorstep.
  eSARAS an e-commerce mobile app will be used as a more effective platform for marketing of the products made by women of self-help groups.
• It is an initiative conceptualized by the DAY-NRLM, Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), towards the marketing of the best, authentic handicrafts and hand-looms.
