• Voluntary Pension Scheme:

  • The Central Government matches the farmers’ contributions.
• Key Benefits:
  • Minimum Assured Pension: Rs. 3,000 per month after the age of 60.
  • Family Pension: If the farmer passes away, their spouse receives 50% of the pension (Rs. 1,500 per month).
  • PM-KISAN Integration: Farmers can use PM-KISAN benefits for contributing to the scheme.
• Eligibility:
  • Small and marginal farmers with up to 2 hectares of land, as recorded on 1st August 2019.

Successful Implementation:

• As of August 6, 2024, 23.38 lakh farmers have enrolled.
• Leading states include Bihar with over 3.4 lakh registrations and Jharkhand with 2.5 lakh registrations.
