In Srikalahasthi-Chittoor node, the project will help develop the start-up area of the 938-ha Chittoor-South industrial cluster, and improve a 9.5-km access road to the Chittoor-South industrial cluster and an 8.7-km access road to the Naidupeta industrial cluster.

  • the aggregate amount exempt from income tax under section 10(10AA)(ii) shall not exceed the limit of Rs 25 lakh, where any such payments are received by a non-government employee from more than one employer.
  • The increased limit for tax exemption on leave encashment on retirement or otherwise of non-government salaried employees to Rs 25 lakh with effect from April 1, 2023.
  • Further, the amount exempt from income-tax under section 10(10AA)(ii) of the Act shall not exceed the limit of Rs 25 lakh as reduced by the tax exemption already allowed in the total income of the employee under section 10(10AA)(ii) of any previous year or years.
  • In 2023-24 Budget, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman had increased the tax exemption on leave encashment on retirement of non-government salaried employees to Rs 25 lakh, from Rs 3 lakh.

    • Verification of candidates for government, public sector, and private sector jobs.
    • Tenant, paying guest, and domestic help verification.
    • Reporting missing persons, child-related issues, and lost and found items.
    • Security clearance for commercial constructions, petrol stations, and more.
    • Obtaining permissions or No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for fireworks sales, temporary bar licenses, etc.
    • Providing feedback and sharing confidential criminal information.
  • Furthermore, during the event, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also laid the foundation stone for the Guwahati campus of the National Forensic Sciences University. The campus, located in the Changsari suburb of Kamrup’sMolong district, is expected to be completed in two phases.
  • The first phase is slated for completion by 2026, while the second phase is targeted for 2030. With an estimated cost of Rs 300 crore, the campus will offer more than 50 undergraduate, graduate, PhD, and post-doctoral programs in various fields of forensic science, including wildlife forensics, cyber security, narcotics, digital forensics, drone forensics, forensic psychology, and forensic justice and law.

  • Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd., a Mini Ratna Category 1 Defence PSU and a leading warship-building company of India, has been awarded the contract for supply of Ten 30 mm Naval Surface Guns by the Ministry of Defence (MoD)/Indian Navy.
  • The contract worth Rs. 248.5 Crore for supply of these guns to the Indian Navy was signed by CmdeVivekDahiyaCmde (SR), Indian Navy and Cdr Shantanu Bose (IN, Retd), Director Shipbuilding GRSE.
  • The MoD has designated GRSE as the nodal agency for the indigenisation of Close in Weapons Systems (CIWS) guns for Naval applications in Mar 2022.
  • Under this mandate, GRSE has achieved this breakthrough in indigenizing the 30 mm Naval Surface Gun (NSG) a vital equipment to be indigenized under the CIWS.
  • The 30 mm NSG is a key weapon system fitted on small Warships and Auxiliary vessels of the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard.
