  • The Wayanad district administration has attained the meritorious achievement by providing 1,42,563 services to as many as 64,670 tribal beneficiaries as part of the Akshaya Big Campaign for Document Digitisation (ABCD) campaign.
  • This includes ration cards to 15,796 families, Aadhar cards to 31,252, birth certificates to 11,300, voters’ identity cards to 22,488 and digital locker facilities to 22,888 persons through the ABCD campaign.
  • The drive was launched in November 2021 at Thondarnadu grama panchayat.

  • Canara Bank said it plans to sell its stake in Russian joint venture Commercial Indo Bank LLC (CIBL) to the other venture partner State Bank of India (SBI) for about Rs 114 crore.
  • CIBL, incorporated in 2003, is a joint venture in Russia between SBI (60 per cent) and Canara Bank (40 per cent).
  • Canara Bank has entered into a share sale agreement in relation to sale of equity shares held by it in Moscow-based CIBL with SBI, the bank said in a regulatory filing.
  • The Bengaluru-based state-owned bank entered into the agreement for sale on November 11, 2022, it said.
  • Based on share sale agreement and with the consent of Central Bank of Russia, entire shares held by Canara Bank have been transferred to SBI on November 30.

  • Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Commission Shri Manoj Kumar inaugurated various training programs being run by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission under the Village Industries Development Scheme in Hubli on the third day of his visit to Karnataka and disbursed margin money to the PMEGP Units through virtual medium.
  • Chairman KVIC also released margin money subsidy of Rs 165 Crores to 5046 beneficiaries from the states of East & South zone with the total bank loan of Rs 488 crores for setting up of new micro enterprises under PMEGP scheme which is expected to create more than 40000 employment opportunities in these states.
  • Financial assistance to Khadi artisans was also approved by Chairman Manoj Kumar under the work shed scheme for Khadi artisans of “Khadi Vikas Yojana”.
  • The Chairman visited CVPI, Khanpur a KVI training run by Khadi and Village Industries Commission, where he distributed hostel useful items to the trainees and launched MS Roof Truss Work .

  • The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE) for setting the annual performance target for the year 2022-23.
  • The government has set a target of Rs 3,361 crore for revenue from operations, up by 18 per cent from the previous year’s achievement, for 2022-23.
