History:

• A global campaign for the Declaration of International Day of Conscience was launched at the United Nations, New York on February 5, 2019 by the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL).
• The Kingdom of Bahrain had submitted a draft resolution titled “Promoting the Culture of Peace with Love and Conscience.”

• A courageous right-hand opening batsman, Sudhir Naik went as one of the candidates for the opening batsman’s slot on the 1974 tour of England.

• He served Mumbai cricket for a longer period, leading a depleted side to an unexpected Ranji Trophy title in 1970-71.

• Although liquidity, on a daily basis, was a surplus of around Rs 25,000 crore on March 8, it is expected to dip into a deficit in the coming weeks due to payments for goods and services tax (GST) among others.
• The VRRR is usually undertaken to withdraw excess liquidity from the banking system.
  Presently, the liquidity in the banking system is estimated to be in surplus of around Rs 2.12 lakh crore.
